Chris Santiago
Chris Santiago served as an elder from 2000-2002 and was ordained again as an elder in January 2024. He worked as a software engineer for Chevron and Bank of America in the Bay Area. In 2002, the church commissioned and sent Chris with his wife to do gospel work overseas. He has completed degrees at Reformed Theological Seminary (MAR) and at Western Seminary (DIS, a.k.a. DMiss). In 2022, after serving the Lord overseas for twenty years, he and family returned to the U.S. He currently serves as the full-time pastor of the church. He is thankful for his wife Shirley and their son Timothy who both love and serve the Lord. They enjoy people, biking and traveling. Chris and Shirley live in Livermore, CA.

Jeff Escott
Jeff Escott served as a deacon at Gateway from 2000 until 2019 when he was ordained as an elder. He is a Senior Architect/Director of Architecture at Dahlin Group in Pleasanton. He and his wife, Katy, are both graduates of Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo where they met in the marching band. They were married after graduating in 1986 and have three adult children. They live in Livermore, CA.

Therefore brethren, seek out from among you, men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom whom we may appoint over this business.
Let these also first be tested, then let them serve as deacons.

Michael Zendejas
Michael Zendejas became a deacon in 2024. He and his wife Wendy have lived in Livermore since 2003. They have two daughters. Wendy has been a teacher for over 25 years and Michael retired from his first career after 21 years of service. He is now looking forward to seeing what’s next…
